Human Subjects Presentation

Review/Approval of Research Involving Human Subjects: Who needs it and why?
This hour-long presentation provides students, faculty, and staff with introductory information on the rationale behind establishing Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) to oversee research involving human subjects, categories of IRB approval, how to determine which projects must be reviewed by NAU's IRB and the required information and documents needed to obtain IRB approval. Workshop participants will have a chance to ask specific questions related to their particular projects in the last 15 minutes of the presentation. To schedule a class or departmental presentation tailored to your area's IRB needs, contact the IRB Director by emai or by calling (928) 523-4236.
